This Week's Schedule
Friday, November 26, 2021 No School
- Every year, we celebrate Harvest/Thanksgiving activities during the last hour of school. Here is a fun activity created by Sara and Rachel (a former intern at our school):
- Covered Preps - when we do not have coverage for missed preps, we are happy to pay. However, if you believe that you will miss a prep because of a meeting or a scheduled school event, you must inform Glenda or Liz prior to the event. We will find coverage. Glenda authorizes missed preps for Connery.
- Cafeteria Table Assignments - Reminder students need to be assigned seats for lunch due to contact tracing.
- Office Spaces - We are giving teams (ESL, SPED, and Reading) the opportunity to move back to content specfic offices. This can start next week.
- Sub Plans - These are past due, please make sure that CITs have them at the end of this week.
- Reading Groups - We now have a second set of data for reading. Please keep in mind that reading groups and fluid and should be changing. Also, students should be moving up in reading levels. Don't be afraid to try out a new level with your students!
- Wednesday Schedule - Liz and Glenda are still updating schedules and we will send you a notification when they are complete.
- Dismissal Procedure - Please make sure that your dismissal procedures are on a clipboard in your room by the door. This can be with your class list.

- There must be no cell phone use during recess. Recess has created a slight increase at the nurse's office. Please remember that recess can be an opportunity for community engagement. In the past, we use this resource guide as a means to support full class activities.
- Please remind students to wear their masks properly. Here is an awesome PPT that Marla, our behavioral specialist created.
Parents/guardians are encouraged to contact school staff and work collaboratively with them to correct the reasons that the student is missing school.
- All school absences require a note explaining the absence. School absences are defined as follows:
Documented Absence (JUSTIFIED): Illness covered by a doctor’s note, a note regarding illness from the parent or guardian (no more than two per trimester/quarter), death in the family, religious holiday, school sponsored activities as approved by administration, college or military recruiter visits with approval from the administration, absence occurring when a student is in custody of Court or law enforcement authorities, and absence resulting from participation in a work-study program under the supervision of the public school. The administration reserves the right to request a doctor’s note. In case of an emergency a waiver may be granted by a school administrator.
Documented Absence (NON-JUSTIFIED) and Undocumented Absence (NON-JUSTIFIED):
Four (4) documented absences (non-justified) or four (4) undocumented absences (non-justified) will result in maximum grade of “D-“ for the course in a given quarter. All other absences not covered above, including truancy, class cuts, and family vacations are not considered legitimate reasons for class absences in a given quarter.
All other absences should be considered unexcused and no make-up work should be provided.
- Please remember to submit all technology issues to the Helpdesk by emailing: servicedesk@lynnschools.org . Be sure to provide as many details as possible including name of user having issue (email or stu#), problem, program being used, etc.
- Please enter tickets for EACH problem they encounter with as much information as possible included.
