Things to Consider
Please read the weekly update carefully.
Operational:
No PLTs, Glenda and Liz available if needed
  • Walkthrough Feedback - Here is the link for the walk through feedback.  Please check in with Glenda if you were unable to process with a grade level team.
  • Report Cards - Marks close today, March 18th.  Grades must be put into TAC by Thursday at noon on March 24th.  I will receive a copy of the report cards to review and changes (if any) need to be made by Tuesday morning on March 28th. Report cards will be sent home on March 30th.
  • Bus Evacuation - Our scheduled time is 3/22 starting at 9:00.  For those that are not familiar with this routine, it is an opportunity for students to know the layout of the bus and how to evacuate in an emergency.
  • Recess - All classrooms have received recess supplies.  Please utilize them when you are outside and teach students games from the recess resources below.  Tag is not the best game to play outside on a cement landscape.  Please encourage other forms of exercise and play.
  • Vaccine Clinic - Connery will have a vaccine clinic next Thursday from 2:30-5:30. Please read the health section for the registration links.  I ask that you please share them with families.
  • Please remember to return each set of Guided Reading books after they are used.
  • TeachPoint Reminder- All teachers: Don't forget to upload any pictures and/or evidence throughout the spring to TeachPoint.  Include the standard and/or goal that the evidence covers and a brief summary.
  • Peer Observations - scheduling is underway and teachers have already observed others.  If you have not begun peer observations, please reach out to your CITs.
  • Planning Expectations - Please send us your sub plans when you are out.  Especially if you are out for a series of days.  Remember that sub folders are for unexpected emergencies.  Since our school structure is set up to plan during PLTs for a week out, all lessons should already be planned for the following week. Therefore, we ask that you share your most updated plans so that students do not fall behind and so that our classes are moving along at the same typical pace as their grade level peers.
    • If you aren't well, please let us know of a team member that can share your grade level plans.
    • As a reminder, when you have an absence you need to contact Glenda, Liz and your CIT before 8am. Also, your absence must be posted in AESOP before 8am.
