A huge Thank You to Jess Bergeron and her family for filling the planters in 
the front of Connery last weekend. They are beautiful!!
  • Morning Duties - Classroom teachers and supports are supposed to arrive at school by 8:15 and are on active duty that time. Please make sure that all staff (including support staff) are outside to pickup classes at 8:15. This is great opportunity for family engagement and an opportunity to connect with students.  
  • Connery Beautification Project - This summer, Liz, Glenda, and Kim will work collaboratively to organize and declutter Connery Companeros in preparation for the reopening of our school as a new Dual Language.
    • If you are interested, please let us know that you'd like to volunteer.
    • If you know of parents that might be interested in this work, please let Glenda and Liz know.
  • The Math Deparment is offering paid summer Professional Development at Connery for Illustrative Math.  It will be for all grade levels and the teacher hourly rate.  Please let Glenda and Liz know if you are available the week of August 16th.
MCAS testing has finished! Thank you to all who supported our students 
during the testing period. Make-ups will continue this week.
  • If a student arrives in your classroom after 8:30, they must be sent to the office immediately. The office will mark them tardy. 
  • If you notice students in the hallway prior to 8:15, please advise them to go back outside.
  • Grades / Scores - It is important that Data Folders be used a tool (which students can take ownership of) and are visible in our classrooms as a way to increase transparency.  
    • Schoology is a another way to be transparent with students and their families regarding scores and grades.
  • Retention - Retention meetings will begin soon. Please share your availability with Glenda and Liz if you submitted a form.
  • Multicultural Night (PPT) - 6/02- This is our 3rd Open House.  It is not optional, so please make sure that you save the date and arrange to be present. More details to come. Specialist and Support Staff schedule for Multicultural night 06.02.22 
  • MCAS Dance is coming! 05/26-  Donations are still needed. 
  • Field Trips - Please refer to email
  • Updated Calendar
  • TeachPoint Reminder-  Evidence Due (Summative May 27th)  Please upload all evidence to TeachPoint that you have available.
  • Planning Expectations - Please send us your sub plans when you are out.
    • As a reminder, when you have an absence you need to contact Glenda, Liz and your CIT before 8am. Also, your absence must be posted in AESOP before 8am.
  • Assessment Calendar - please note that the assessment calendar was updated.  Click here for all dates including the Star Renaissance Expectations.
  • Summer School: Springboard for students in current grades K, 1, 2 and 3. Springboard - Please apply if you haven't done so already.  The program is still looking for ten more teachers, so all that have applied will most likely be able to work the program.
    • 4-5 Museum of Science Enrichment - Please review email from Eva O'Malley and share interest with Glenda and Liz
ELA:  
  • Running Records can begin at any time. Use this new data to adjust groups based on new reading levels.
  • Please remember to return each set of Guided Reading books after they are used.
  • Star Renaissance testing begins Monday, 5/23/22. CIT's will be sending out a testing schedule.

  • Crocs - Please remind families that crocs are not meant for running.
Misc. Info: Inventory for Professional Development - please complete so that we can track the books that we each have in our classrooms.

Technology Issues
  • Reminder: Please let Liz or your CIT know if a student is not bringing their laptop to school daily. 
  • Please remember to submit all technology issues to the Helpdesk by emailing: servicedesk@lynnschools.org . Be sure to provide as many details as possible including name of user having issue (email or stu#), problem, program being used, etc.
  • Please enter tickets for EACH problem they encounter with as much information as possible included.
