 Operational: 


  • Field Day was a great success! Thank you to everyone who helped us plan and execute this fun day.
  • Please do not prop doors open at any time during the school day. This is a safety issue and we have heard from a few of our parents that this is a concern.   
  • Connery Beautification Project - This summer, Liz, Glenda, and Kim will work collaboratively to organize and declutter Connery Companeros in preparation for the reopening of our school as a new Dual Language.
    • If you are interested, please let us know that you'd like to volunteer.
    • If you know of parents that might be interested in this work, please let Glenda and Liz know.
  • The Math Department is offering paid summer Professional Development at Connery for Illustrative Math.  It will be for all grade levels and the teacher hourly rate.  Please let Glenda and Liz know if you are available the week of August 16th.
  • Drop in Sessions will also be available for the Interdisciplinary Units this summer.
  • TeachPoint - Please sign all your documents in teachpoint before your leave for the summer. 
  • Summer School: Springboard for students in current grades K, 1, 2 and 3. Springboard - Please apply if you haven't done so already.  The program is still looking for ten more teachers, so all that have applied will most likely be able to work the program.
    • 4-5 Museum of Science Enrichment - Please review email from Eva O'Malley and share interest with Glenda and Liz
ELA & Math  
  • End of year room check outs will continue on Tuesday and Wednesday. Make sure that you connect with Tracey or Cyndi to schedule this.

    Social Work Updates:      
Health and Safety:
  • Crocs - Please remind families that crocs are not meant for running.
Misc. Info: Inventory for Professional Development - please complete so that we can track the books that we each have in our classrooms.

Technology Issues
  • Reminder: Please let Liz or your CIT know if a student is not bringing their laptop to school daily. 
  • Please remember to submit all technology issues to the Helpdesk by emailing: servicedesk@lynnschools.org . Be sure to provide as many details as possible including name of user having issue (email or stu#), problem, program being used, etc.
  • Please enter tickets for EACH problem they encounter with as much information as possible included.

PLT's have concluded for the school year
Please join us in congratulating Cyndi McCleary!
She was informed yesterday that she will be given the 
Excellence in Literacy Leadership Award (ELLA) at the Lynn Museum on August 31 @ 6pm. 
We are so proud of her!

  • Field Day - Here are the plans for t-shirts and the schedule.  We will give specifics on who is assigned to a task at the beginning of next week.
  • Field Trips : 
    • Grade 2 - Monday, 6/13 - Franklin Park Zoo 
    • Grade K - Tuesday, 6/14 - Walking field trip to the Lynn Library
  • Morning Duties - Classroom teachers and supports are supposed to arrive at school by 8:15 and are on active duty that time. Please make sure that all staff (including support staff) are outside to pickup classes at 8:15. Support staff that have preps in the morning can start their prep at 8:20. 
  • Please do not prop doors open at any time during the school day. This is a safety issue and we have heard from a few of our parents that this is a concern.

  • If you notice students in the hallway prior to 8:15, please advise them to go back outside.
  • TeachPoint - Please sign all your documents in teachpoint before your leave for the summer. 
  • Summer School: Springboard for students in current grades K, 1, 2 and 3. Springboard - Please apply if you haven't done so already.  The program is still looking for ten more teachers, so all that have applied will most likely be able to work the program.

  • Running Records have finished. 
  • Please remember to return each set of Guided Reading books after they are used.
  • Complete a Spring Math Fluency before the end of the year.

Covid Protocols and Key Changes:
  • "At home tests" are now referred to as "self-tests"
  • Masks continue to be optional
  • Students who are exposed inside or outside of school do NOT have to quarantine unless they are symptomatic. This does not apply to staff. Staff must continue to follow current quarantine guidelines listed here:  DESE/DPH Protocols for Responding to COVID-19 Scenarios - SY 2021-22 (mass.edu)
  • Students who test positive and are unable to mask must have a negative test on Day 5 or later to return between Day 6-10. Otherwise, they can return on Day 11 with improved symptoms.

We will be creating Class Lists for next year's classrooms
  • Forsythe Dental will be here on Monday and Tuesday.
  • The MCAS Dance and MultiCultural Night were a big success!!
    • Thank you to all our staff, students and their families for coming together to support these community activities.
