Things to Consider
Please read the weekly update carefully.
- Happy First Week of School! Let's welcome PreK and K this week!
- Cafeteria Table Assignments - Here are the table assignments for Grades K-5 for lunch and for Grades 1-5 for breakfast. Click here for cafeteria assignments.
- Attendance - This should be done every day by 9:00 AM.
- Raz Kidz - I have assigned all classroom teachers a RazKidz account. Here is some information about Class Rostering - Please make sure your classes are rosterd for razkids.
- Open House - Open House is on September 30th from 6-8. For Open House, we have decided to go with a zoom session instead of in-person.
- Please have a zoom link (under your LPS email) set up for the event. I will send out a document where your link will need to be added.
- Please communicate about your open house to all families.
- For the event, we ask that a resource folder be sent out prior to the event that families can refer to: RazKids login, Teacher Contact Sheet (Best forms of communication), Homework, Attendance Procedures, Schoology Information, Classroom Procedures, Night Back Information etc.
- ELA Assessment - LPS has chosen an early literacy and reading assessment in lieu of Dibels. The assessment is Rennaisance Star Reading. This assessment is similar to iReady ELA. In an effort to support our growth and limit over assessing students, we will opt out of iReady ELA and focus on the district's new assessment.
- Imagine Learning - all Connery students will have access to Imagine Learning this year.
- Math Letter - Click Here
- District Assessment Calendar - Click Here
- Math - Math units should launch this coming week grades 1-5.
- Math coaches will be in the building next week to observe and provide support to new teachers.
- Go Math and Do The Math materials have been delivered. If you need additional materials, please contact Katie Landino.
- Specialists - Specials are up and running, and the prep schedule has some changes. Please review and adjust schedules accordingly. This begins on Monday.
- Buses - All buses start on September 13, 2021.

Staff Information:
Health and Safety:
- Mask - Gentley Reminder to wear our masks appropriately (over our nose and mouth). Our students model our behavior.
- Here is a message from Mayor McGee about our expectations:
- ALL employees, regardless of vaccination status, are required to wear a mask that covers their mouth and nose while inside on duty during work hours except for when they are seated at their cubicle/work station or using break time to eat or drink. This includes common areas (i.e. in hallways and stairwells, going to the restroom, etc.), during meetings, in city vehicles when occupied by more than one employee at a time, and interacting with the public. Members of the general public must also wear face coverings while conducting business in city buildings. If a visitor does not have a mask, they should be offered one by the department visited and business should not be conducted until the face covering is in place.
- This policy shall also go into effect for school buildings, and respective employees currently working in them on the above date, and will be required at the start of the school year for returning staff and students, regardless of vaccination status.
- The Lynn Public Health Department will provide masks for all offices before the close of business tomorrow. Appropriate signage will also be placed around all public buildings.
- Department heads are instructed to enforce this policy with employees. Any employee not complying with the policy will be subject to the progressive discipline process (verbal warning, written warning, one day suspension, multi-day suspension, termination). Employees that cannot wear a mask due to a medical condition must provide documentation to the Personnel Department.
