Things to Consider

Please read the weekly update carefully.

Operational:

No PLT's

Personal Days - Please note that I can no longer approve personal days on December 17. There will 8 people are out, and some are staff members that provide coverage.
Grades - This is a reminder that no student should have modifications stated on their report card unless it is stated on their IEP. In most cases, these are for students that are in DD and II classrooms.

All grades should line up and be comparitive to what you have in your data folder.
Please factor in quizzes, formative assessments, and homework. However, please keep in mind that they do NOT hold the same weight as an assessment.

Running Records - Prioritize those students that you think have made increases in their reading so that the change can be reflected on the report cards and discussed during upcoming Parent Conferences.

Please make sure that the teacher who did the running record in September is the same person that completed running records in December to maintain consistency.

Wednesday Schedule - Liz and Glenda are still updating schedules and we will send you a notification when they are complete.

Math

Blended Learning Planning - You should have a unit picked by December 15th (our half day). Please submit this to Katie Landino.
The district shared that by the end of the school year, one blended learning unit should be completed . Our goal is that we complete this by May 2022.

New Staff Information:

All absences are put into Frontline Education. Full day requests are the only option. Contact your CIT if you are planning a personal day.

For sick days text Glenda, Liz, and your CIT in the morning. This communication is more efficient than email.

Technology:

Laptops: Please remind students to bring their laptops charged daily! All students in Grades 1-5 must bring their laptops charged each day. Please assist your students in updating their laptops when necessary. Please contact Ms. Dunnigan if a student does NOT bring in his/her laptop.

Staff Information:

Health and Safety:

Recess has presented an increase of injuries. The injuries occur most during activities that are unstructure. Please use this resource guide as a means to support full class activities.
Please remind students to wear their masks properly. Here is an awesome PPT that Marla, our behavioral specialist created.
Routine COVID testing: CIC health will be here at 10am on Wednesday to continue our weekly pool testing.
Connery Do Not Admit List: PendingResultsLog_DoNotAdmit_Connery.xlsx Please be sure to check the COVID do no admit list daily to see if your student requires a COVID test before they may return to school following an absence or dismissal.

Misc. Info: Inventory for Professional Development - please complete so that we can track the books that we each have in our classrooms.

Technology Issues

Please remember to submit all technology issues to the Helpdesk by emailing: servicedesk@lynnschools.org . Be sure to provide as many details as possible including name of user having issue (email or stu#), problem, program being used, etc.
Please enter tickets for EACH problem they encounter with as much information as possible included.
