Things to Consider
- Connery School Calendar - In response to some questions, please note the following: Monthly Faculty Meetings, Preps 4x weekly, and PLC/PD 1x weekly (night back is included to this day)
- Updates and Information:
- Brain Breaks - This time is to be used to support health and wellness
- Students and teacher(s) take a bio-break
- All can have a healthy snack (to be provided by lunch program)
- teacher can play music
- teacher can facilitate movement and exercise
- students do not log off but break from direct instruction and sitting in front of a computer

- Substitutes - Our school is going to be set up in a Triad this year in order to support absences.
- Substitues will no longer be scheduled in Aesop/FrontLine. At the elementaery level, substitutes will be the building substitutes, art, gym and music teachers. The TRIADs are necessary for smaller schools who have fewer resources to draw on. Our school is grouped with Lincoln and Drewicz.

- Outreach - During the first three weeks and beginning on September 23, please have teachers plan for 1x weekly outreah to each student/family. Communication logs are not an expectation.
- 5 Day Orientation - staff are in-person and working their full day. After the two-hour orientation, each of the five days teachers should follow their regular schedule for prep, PD/PLC/night back (Tuesdays), faculty meeting (Wednesdays) etc. Any extra time should be spent in grade level teams planning and reaching out to families for check-in and connection.

- Superintendent Goals - 1. All students connected to technology- Device, Internet, and Schoology by the third week of school. 2. Attendance will be at 95% by the third week into school.
- Prep for Small Group Rotation Boards - Please upload a picture of yourself to This file in order to give students a visual representation of where they are going to go in their small groups.
- PD will occur remotely from your assigned classroom (if in school)
- If you typically share a space and are uncomfortable in doing so, please send Glenda and Liz an email.
- Masks must be worn at all times! The only expeception is if you are in a location alone. The hallway is not one of these locations. Masks must be worn in common spaces.
- There is new protocol for signing into work:
- Please bring your own pen.
- When you sign into work, you are confirming that you do not have a fever or COVID symptoms.
- There will be two sign in locations. One at the front and one in the back.
- First Floor Staff please enter through main entrance.
- Ground Level and Second Floor Staff, please enter through rear badge entrance.
- You must remain 6ft apart at all times when transitioning withing the building.
- Entering the building: All staff members on the 1st floor must enter through the front door. All staff members on the Ground and 2nd floor must enter through the rear entrance.
- Office Use: Only 2 people can be in the office at a time. If you need to communicate with LeeAnn or Carolina, you may stand at the 6ft mark at the entrance of the office.
- Mailbox Use: Only 1 person at a time can be at the mailboxes. Please wait outside of the office if someone is at the mailbox.
- Copy Room: Only 2 people can be in the copy room at a time, and must maintain a social distance for the full time in the copy room.
- Teacher's Loung: Only 2 people at a time and remaining 6ft apart.
- When using the microwave, keep food covered and ensure to wash hands or sanitize hands prior to use.
- When using the refrigerator, wash or sanitize hands prior to use.
